The LG Group is a Korean conglomerate that has been in business since 1947. LG manufactures consumer electronics, cell phones and petrochemical products. The brand name LG was established in 1995. It is an abbreviation for the former name of the company, "Lucky-Goldstar." LG manufactures both countertop and over-the-range microwaves.

LG's countertop microwaves include some very unique models. The LTM9000 model is a combination microwave and toaster. This 0.9 cubic foot model has 900 watts of power and 10 power levels. The toaster, built into the side of the unit, has 9 toaster browning levels. This unit is made only with a stainless steel finish. The LCRM1240 model is another unique design. It is a combination microwave and coffee maker. This unit has a 1.2 cubic foot capacity and 1200 watts of power. The coffee maker will brew up to 6 cups of coffee at a time.

LG's 2.0 cubic foot countertop model is a standard microwave. It has 1,200 watts of power and ten power levels. It has a round interior cavity and a contoured exterior design.

LG makes two countertop convection oven and microwave combinations. These models are available in 0.9 and 1.0 cubic foot variations. They have power outputs of 900 and 1000 watts, respectively. Both units roast and bake. Both are available only with a stainless steel finish.

LG makes four different models of over-the-range microwaves. They are available in 1.6, 1.7 and 2.0 cubic foot designs. The 1.6 cubic foot model has 1000 watts of power and is available in white, black and stainless steel. The 1.7 cubic foot model is a combination convection oven unit with 950 watts of microwave power as well as the ability to convection bake, convection roast and perform a combination speed cook. The 2.0 cubic foot models both have LG's Sensor Cook technology and are available with black, white and stainless steel finishes.
